Brandon S. Raney

Founding Principal

Mr. Raney is a founding principal of BC LYND Hospitality. He is responsible for the oversight of the company operations as well as all aspects of investing and development. Prior to his involvement as a Partner in BC Commercial Partners and the initiation of BC LYND, he worked with a leading Hotel Development and Management Company as its Director of Development from 1998 to 2010, focusing on hospitality, mixed use, and high rise residential investments.

During the past 18 years Brandon has exhibited astute judgment in execution of real estate initiatives, having managed the development and disposition of over $500 million in hospitality, mixed-use and residential projects. Mr. Raney has extensive experience in hospitality operations where he has acted as a bridging link between development and property management teams.

Mr. Raney has varied experience buying and selling properties, syndicating single and multiple asset partnerships for both acquisition and development of real estate, negotiating with lenders and equity investors, contract negotiation, and managing a development, accounting and support staff. He exhibits outstanding capabilities for financial modeling and underwriting real estate deal feasibility. Together with extensive management and development experience give him unique “full spectrum” capabilities to create value in the hospitality business.

Brandon is a San Antonio native and graduated with a Biology degree from Southern Methodist University.

Clyde J. B. Johnson, IV

Founding Principal

Mr. Johnson is a founding principal of BC LYND Hospitality. He is responsible for investment decisions and overall direction for the company. Previously he was with a leading Hotel Development and Management Company, where he had a wide range of responsibilities that encompassed loan sourcing/closings, fund raising, authoring Private Placement Memorandums, market analysis, deal sourcing, architectural design development review, project/construction management, and FF&E procurement and installation.

Mr. Johnson’s responsibilities also expanded to general contracting, contract negotiations with sub-contractors, quality control, material procurement, design decisions and capital management of the construction company’s funds, which gives him extensive knowledge in the construction business. From 1999 to 2006, Mr. Johnson worked for GMAC Commercial Mortgage, now Berkadia Commercial Mortgage LLC. At GMACCM, he was proactive in the origination, analyzing and closing of over $625 million in loan transactions.

Clyde is a graduate of Texas Tech University with B.S. of Business Administration.

Enrique Vazquez

Vice President of Finance

Mr. Vazquez is the Vice President of Finance for BC LYND Hospitality. He is responsible for a wide array of financial and accounting services, including cash management, timely financial reporting, integration of accounting systems and leading edge technology in the hospitality industry. Mr. Vazquez has over 17 years in the hotel industry, and has served in the hotel field and corporate roles in many areas of hospitality, including operations, accounting, information systems, and finance. This vast experience has given him exposure to hotel brands such as Marriott, Hilton, Starwood, Radisson and Holiday Inn.

Prior to joining BC LYND Hospitality, Mr. Vazquez worked for ESP, L.P. a healthcare management organization that managed over 23 sites all over Texas. He helped ESP to improve financial and payroll processes, and was in charge of cash management and financial reporting. Prior to ESP, Mr. Vazquez worked as Corporate Controller with Presidian Companies for 11 years, where he successfully implemented policies and procedures, mastered strong financial results and his “hands-on” approach was invaluable for accounting planning for the entire hotel portfolio.

Enrique received his B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Our Lady of the Lake University, and holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Additionally, he received a Master’s in Business Intelligence and Analytics from Erivan K. Haub School of Business in Philadelphia, PA.

Mark Van De Riet

Corporate Director of Engineering

Mr. Van de Riet joined BC LYND Hospitality as Corporate Director of Engineering with over 30 years of experience in hotel Engineering. A seasoned leader, Mark is responsible for oversight and management of the engineering processes and procedures for all BC LYND properties.

Mark’s responsibilities also include developing and executing preventive maintenance programs, hiring and training property engineering staff, energy conservation and other green initiatives. In addition, Mark manages the capital improvement programs for the properties as well as project management for renovations and new builds.

Mark has an Associate Degree in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration from St. Phillips College in San Antonio, TX.

Jared Bailey

Corporate Director of Asset Management

Mr. Bailey is the Corporate Director of Asset Management for BC LYND Hospitality. In this role, he is responsible for developing, reviewing and evaluating reports that show the results of each of the key measurements for the properties under BC LYND management. This includes annual budgets, P&L reviews, monitoring guest satisfaction scores, review of  brand QA inspections, and STAR report analysis. He provides regular and on-going communication with the property leaders and the respective ownership groups, including routine portfolio Reviews. In addition, Jared participates in the development of “Scopes of Work” for CapEx projects as well as assisting in any Acquisitions of assets including proforma development.

Mr. Bailey has over 13 years of hotel management experience including associations with such brands as Hyatt, Hilton, Starwood, Marriott, La Quinta, and Wyndham. Prior to joining BC LYND, he served in various roles in the Hospitality Industry including General Manager and Corporate Operations Analyst. Jared has a proven track record of success with select service hotels and in his role as an Operations Analyst overseeing 6 – 12 hotels including Full Service, Select Service, and Extended Stay hotels.

Richard Garza III

Corporate Director of Training & Special Projects

Mr. Garza joined the BC LYND team in 2013 as the Director of Training & Special Projects. Richard has been in the Hospitality Industry since 2007 when he began his career as a Bellman.

Richard ambitiously worked his way up through the ranks to become the Director of Event Technology for Swank Audio Visuals in San Antonio, TX. In this role he independently grew the business significantly earning him many accolades and awards. Richard has experience with brands such as Radisson, Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, Starwood, Wyndham and with Independent Hotels.

Anna Cupich

Corporate Area Director of Sales

Ms. Cupich joins BC LYND Hospitality as the Corporate Area Director of Sales with over twenty years of sales experience, hotel operation expertise, and management leadership skills. Focusing on potential real estate investments and third party management contracts, she has worked both at the corporate level and as a General Manager with brands including Hampton Inn, Doubletree, and Hilton Garden Inn.

In Ms. Cupich’s current role, she oversees the sales efforts of the company’s Focus Service Brands, ensuring that occupancy numbers, rate and revenue goals for each hotel are met. Ms. Cupich is focused on increasing the visibility of sales managers in the community, and with the hotels in their competitive set. At the heart of her business practices is a passion for building lasting relationships, not only within BC LYND Hospitality, but also with her customers.

Anna received her BA in Education with a concentration in Art Education from the University of New Mexico, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Fraxys Sihotang

Corporate Director of Revenue Management

Mr. Sihotang has over 20 years of hotel experience in both operational and managerial aspects, in Europe and United States. His revenue management exposure and skills came from a vast variety of markets, ranging from Airport to urban markets, from touristic resorts to tertiary locations. With more than 10 years of know-how in Revenue Management in Hilton and Marriott brands, he has found effective strategies in maximizing long-term profitability in different markets by involving and educating every one in each property of the importance of revenue initiatives every day and every time.

Fraxys’ portfolio has covered select-service to iconic hotels and from short to long-term hotels, all of which he found excitement in supporting and assisting them to exceed their revenue goals and annual budgets.

Fraxys received his dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Hotel and Tourism Management from the International Hotel Management Institute of Lucerne, Switzerland.
